To our surprise, house has evolved in sublime fashion over the past couple of years, and especially of late, as we see artists cropping up from different ends of the sonic sphere disrupting the "monotonous" tag that the genre has faced. Today, we've got a brand-new artist to bring to your attention, Evence, and he epitomizes the aforementioned claim stunningly with latest single "Can I Know". The native of New York has been floating around in the recesses of SoundCloud for over a year now, but he's far from acquired the plays and eminence that he deserves. "Can I Know", however, provides more than enough reason to familiarize yourself with his sound, as cushioned synths and tingling lead percussion bind together to bring forth an atmosphere that's certainly dance-worthy. Subtle vocal chops and well-mastered drums only add to the high-quality sound, and, all together, "Can I Know" blossoms into quite a revitalizing piece.
