Toronto-based electronic-indie trio ev ree wuhn released their self-titled debut EP well over a year ago, but from the looks of the small play counts on their SoundCloud, these guys' music has remained hidden—and wrongfully so. So, rather than neglect the body of work because of old age, we've elected to highlight the band's intriguing sound today, since we've no doubts more unique work is soon to follow. Starting with one of our EP-favorites is the incredible "Control". It's a genre-bender, for sure, but the immensity of its impassioned depth is felt beyond its labels, as the tender lead vocals envelope the listener with their drawn-out, sustained syllables. "Colours" (which you ought to listen to through at least 2:48) is another preferred cut from the EP, and, in tandem with the aforementioned effort, makes the overall body of work really quite a fascinating listen if you're looking for electronic-led, folk-infused music that grows on you the more you listen to it. As the band has stated on their Facebook page, there's new music coming soon, so while you can, digest this EP, because there's no doubt in our minds that whatever next comes from the group will rival its intrigue—and, by extension—your attention.
