Erik hassle is only two songs into his resurgence as an electronic-pop artist, but his progress has been staggering, and his latest track, a major force to be reckoned with. "Pathetic" is a full three minutes and twenty-seven seconds of R&B-infused, audio gold, but what's really impressive is that he's managed to completely change up his tone (this one is a lot more lighthearted than "talk About It") without sacrificing any of his signature sound or style. Granted, a lot of this could be chalked up to the fact that he's in possession of one of the most unique voices out right now, but still. The production work on this track is undeniably what we've come to expect form the new Erik Hassle, and that's an impressive feat in-and-of itself. If the release strategy for his previous track is any indication of what he's planning to do with this one, then keep your fingers crosses for some stellar remixes as you wait for the EP release on March 4th. It's titled Somebody's Party, and it'll be released with RCA records. "Pathetic" is easily one of the most fun tracks to listen to that we've come across in recent months, but the music cuts much deeper than your average surface-dwelling pop song, and it's going to do a lot for his continued success as an artist.
