Few artists have the capacity to take the production of a preexisting song and create an entirely new song over it, have it be good and make you forget the original piece of music even exists. Over the recognizable production of The xx's "Angels", however, that's exactly what Spanish singer ÉPHONA does. The new song, "I was born to fly", is a cry for freedom, featuring a ginormous, yet pure vocal performance. This one is a year old, sure, but we hope this write-up will encourage ÉPHONA to step out of the shadows and get back to releasing more terrific music soon.
