As footballers are to European nations, electronic artists are to Australia. We've seen an absolute explosion of the type of individuals over the past year or so, and the particular music-making has become a sort of pastime for the nation's youth (which we're not at all mad about). The artistic interest may come off as annoyingly ubiquitous, especially if the sound isn't one you're keen on, but you can't deny all the interesting sonic portraits to the men have been painting. We know we aren't. Anyway, the next Aussie talent taking us for a spectacular ride in his craft is Enschway, a Sydney-bred up-and-comer with only a handful of beats to his name. Amazingly, they only range back five months, so it's conceivable—if not easily believable—that he's only getting started with his sound, and when you listen to the likes of our highlighted efforts, "Sometimes" and "Veuve", you'll know what we mean. They're each effortlessly impressive in their own rights, with the first, (cheekily labeled as "poetic chill trap"), more imposingly bass-driven, and the latter, a bit rawer and exciting experimental—but both entice with their speckled synths and exotic chord progressions. We're not sure where Enschway plans to take his sound from here, but with these efforts under his belt, and more like them floating around on his SoundCloud, it's apparent that it'll be someplace terrific, and someplace the current sonic status quo of Australia would accept.
