At this point, it's almost expected to see a brand-new, extremely promising European pop act show up every couple days (or every day), and today, we've just that in the form of Elena Cosovic (ENA). Her here-highlighted track, "Deep Seas", is the very first from ENA, but still, the Danish songstress is still no novice to the entertainment scene in general, as she's already been a part of a fairly successful duo, appeared on a Danish TV show, and modeled professionally. Now, however, she's granted herself full creative authority by going solo, and the result is absolutely brilliant as you can hear in her debut single today released. It doesn't take long to be hopelessly captivated by Elena Cosovic's croon, and from there, getting lost in her unique singing style is effortless. However, we're equally impressed by Lasse Lyngbo's brilliant production, which utilizes an eclectic collection of instruments ranging from bongo drums to acoustic guitar plucks to a smooth-as-butter saxophone. Modest synths occasionally chime out, giving the instrumental a slight electronic feel, yet the piece's overall sound is very authentic. Both Elena Cosovic and Lasse Lyngbo have really outdone themselves with this one, and not only do we have this track to obsess over, but Borneland has also provided us with a brilliant remix which only strengthens our love for "Deep Seas". Borneland's remix is a bit more synth-heavy than the original, and although there's definitely a pumping drum kit within, the rework still retains the smoothness that we love in the original. Both celestial soundscapes and synth layers are abundant within the track, so if you're looking for a more upbeat, electronic version of "Deep Seas", then you'll absolutely adore Broneland's interpretation. However, make sure you keep an ear out for ENA as well, because we bet that it won't be too long until we hear some more material from her.
ENA
