Eminem — Space Bound

Eminem

Space Bound

Recovery is a very good start towards the right direction for Em. The attitude and lyrical explosions are back with a bit more anger on Recovery. Em is at his best when he puts everything on the table in his raps and you can expect to hear Em lay it all out from the past few years of his life on this album. The third verse on 'Talkin To Myself' Eminem apologizes to all the fans like us who have gave up on him and promises to return to form:"......this time around its different, the last 2 albums didn't count, Encore I was on drugs, Relapse, I was flushing them out. I've come to make it up to you, now no more fu*king around. I've got something to prove to fans cause I feel like I let em down. So please accept my apology"All will be forgotten if Eminem can stay off the drugs and keep on making good music. Recovery is still his best album since The Eminem Show but I am still searching for more. Personally I think the production found on Recovery does not match Eminem, there is something not right about those cheesy synth drums that does not fit well with em's lyrical style. I am only talking about the tracks that I felt missed the mark. Early favorites include, Talkin' To Myself, Cold Wind Blows, Space Bound and Love The Way You Lie. All constructive negatives aside I am pleased with Eminem's latest and has renewed my faith in one of my favorite artists from the last 15 years.
