EMI makes some of the best dark anthems out, and her inclination to wait to release them until her others have been properly appreciated is something that artists should take note of. With "Popular" here, she has another sleek, slithering work, and her signature bassy inclusions within are going to ensure that this one gets plays while you're out. Rex Kudo and Charlie Handsome help again with that, and it's great to see that EMI has, herself, helped on the production tip. Kudos all around on this one, for sure.
