How Long Will I Love You [EMBRZ Remix]

The moment you immerse yourself in this interpretation of Ellie Goulding's "How Long Will I Love You" single, you’re hit with vocals that sound as if they’re pulled straight from a Cyril Hahn single (which is more a consequential compliment than consternation). The unexpectedly low octave eradicates any expectation of the track initially, but as it plays on, surprise turns to serendipity as we're thrust into EMBRZ's delicate embrace of the songstress' newest material. It's only the sixth effort of his that we're aware of, and it's truly amazing to see what all he's been able to accomplish acoustically and also socially with his sound given the relative infancy of it; he's already nabbed endorsement from Ellie's team for his here remixed effort of hers, and has experienced expeditious growth with each subsequent sharing of his marvelous material. It's no doubt this type of expansion was inevitable for EMBRZ, given the myriad audible delicacies he's woven into his past, and the work he does with "How Long Will I Love You" rids us of the sensation that his trajectory is anywhere but straight up. He takes to the original for what it is, which is to say, an artifact of sonic sincerity, and injects into it a slew of rich piano chords that move like liquid between muted bouts of bass and light pings of synth appearing throughout. It works to lend an uplifting kind of ethereality to the affair, and about halfway through, the aforementioned elements coalesce in just the right way, hitting its stride as the rest of the effort unwinds. We've come to expect the pattern from the Irish producer, whose deft acoustical manuevering enables the experience to unfold, and we've intense favor for his attractive amplification of the effort offered by the esteemed UK singer.
