It's been a busy few months for Nashville's ELEL. The band, recently signed to Mom + Pop, is picking up some serious love on debut track "40 Watt", and they've just embarked on a tour with Polyvinyl's Generations. With their first label release on the way in the coming months, a selection of producers have been trying their hand at reworking their infectious, tropical debut. First up were Raury collaborators Daytrip, then remixer JACKLNDN and UK band Beaty Heart. The latest to put their own slant on the increasing popular track is Los Angeles duo Carousel, however, and by injecting their floating brand of electro-synth pop into the track, they've given it a dream-pop makeover. The band—comprised of Jackson Phillips and Kevin Friedman—has spent the past couple of years building a loyal following for their feel-good pop, touring the the length and breadth of the US, remixing the likes of Magic Man and One Republic, and scoring some serious Soundcloud hits on their original material—and because we love hearing bands we love working together, we're huge fans of this latest work of theirs here. Also, be on the lookout for ELEL's forthcoming self-titled EP that's due out March 24 via Mom + Pop, and if you want to scoop this track up for a free download, you can do so below, or click HERE.
