Electric Mantis

Flips And Flops, Drips And Drops

At what point is "Flumestep" going to become a legtimate genre that we can use to classify music? When he started with that unique sound, he knew there was no real genre to put it into, so he started labeling all of his tracks with a genre named after himself. Well, since then, he and his sound have exploded, and I have heard a number of other artists with music that can only accurately be classified as such. I am in no way trying to discredit any artists who make "Flumestep", or say that they don't have their own sound, because they do. Electric Mantis comes from a more dubstep/DnB background and has used these harder influences to add a little OOMPH to the sound. For example: [hdfunctions action="highlight" title="Flips And Flops, Drips And Drops" start="0.6479141791390146" stop="0.7774970149668176" startms="140000" duration ="28000" commentoffset="332" commenttext="OOMPH" id="120287482"] So forget about craft beer and strippers, because soon the city of Portland will be known for drops like that from their fabulous local producer, Electric Mantis.
