Amid all the music we come across, at times we discover artists a while after they drop a piece, and in this case, we’ve élah whose month-old piece, “Say”, is seething with toasty, soulful vibes. With assistance on the instrumental from Toronto-based producer Russell Chuck Morgan, élah displays her vocal skills in gorgeous fashion, seeing them coast delightfully amongst the synth and drum inclusions behind. A simplistic drumbeat and surreal, evolving synths set the stage for élah, and from then on, we hear nothing but an upward spiral of emotions from her on the track. Her wholehearted, doleful words engender a pleasurable and crestfallen tenor, and the aforementioned RCM employs subtle clave inclusions and raw percussion to accompany it. While we don't know where élah's from or how long she's been honing her craft prior to this track, we do know that with it, she's an exciting future ahead of her. One listen to "Say" will be all the proof you need to testify to that fact, so get listening below, and own the effort through iTunes.
