Pop music is probably one of the most polarizing genres out there - on the one hand you have the mass-produced radio garbage that clogs the airwaves, but the flip side of the coin is the more interesting area pop artists can explore that carries far more substance while staying true to the catchy vibes that sit at the heart of good pop. Fortunately for all of us, we have groups like Ejecta who fit squarely in the latter side. The latest single "It's Only Love" from their debut album Dominae is catchy as hell, full of jingly synth sounds and a more upbeat feel than some of their previous releases. While the song is a pop song through and through, the lyrics are full of meaning, of longing and a tinge of sadness, which works perfectly in juxtaposition with the dancey beat.
