With all the music coming out these days, it's easy to miss artists who are at the beginning of their careers. Having only one song, Effee is an artist that may be under your radar, but, with her second track, "Lying", she's going to be in your playlist rotation for good, for sure. "Lying" is a swelling, resent-filled recount of an interaction between Effee and a former lover, but she conveys a certain sweetness in it that makes the discomfort of running into an ex a bit pleasant. Effee ditches a good amount of the chunky electronic production from her first track, "Work It Out", and brings out a subdued feel for the track, and this (sonic) change helps Effee's vocal absolutely soar. Though "Lying" is only track two of Effee's discography, it's wonderful to see that she has versatility as an artist, and we are already waiting eagerly for more. Listen to this, and hop on the bandwagon.
