If you're an avid music listener in the present year, chances are pretty good that your ears perk up when you come across new acts who blend genres in ways that double up on quality and uniqueness. Today, we're happy to present to you the debut single, "Give It Up" from E X R O Y A L E, who manage to do both. Birthed from a vivid dream only just a month ago, E X R O Y A L E are still shrouded in secrecy. Their artist bio, on social media or elsewhere, is conspicuously absent, and we only really know that there's three of 'em currently residing between both Toronto and Portland. Their reclusiveness notwithstanding, "Give It Up" is a piece of electronic indie-pop that is sure to pull E X R O Y A L E out of obscurity in no time. The beat is spartan, and the synths aren't trying to impress you with their complexity, but the final product is a track that proves you can accomplish a lot with just a few well-placed elements and some clever composition. E X R O Y A L E has an EP on the way (that much we do know), so enjoy this while you wait, and be on the lookout for more from the mysterious three-piece; they've a sound that's anything but run-of-the-mill.
