Back when Duke first released "I Got U" on Annie Mac's BBC show in early December, we were instantly blown away. Sadly, it was only a radio rip with Annie talking all over it, so we were forced to wait for the full version. Much to our dismay, we just noticed the full version of "I Got U" was released last Tuesday and we completely missed it, but whatever; now that it's out, we can fully enjoy one of the most magnetic, energetic, and explosive songs we have heard in quite some time. From the cascading steel drums, to the thumping kicks, to the shimmering pop vocals & perfectly placed samples, "I Got U" is the equivalent of that one perfect night we all experienced during our youth. From the moment it starts, flawless energy is built, harnessed, and executed with perfection. "I Got U" is nearly five minutes of tropical escapism that you may never want to return from, so be warned, because you're going to become hopelessly addicted to this song.
