Droid Cloak, the “mysterious producer from North America,” knows a thing or two about this kind of mysterious vibe, as his “The Poultice” instrumental indicates. The particular cut from his recent Bastion Of The Sterling Thrones project, released yesterday via Bad Taste Records, is both alien and alluring; it is colorfully bizarre and undeniably enticing. There’s a hearty portion of synth throughout the track, pounding bass, perfect vocal sampling, and other odds and ends that provide for one of the most unique listens in recent memory.
