Like the roots of a tree that twist, turn and go everywhere they please, the psychedelic drug tripping sounds of Doprah on "San Pedro" not only go in the ground but they also root up and out into an ethereal haze of drug induced sonic waves. Yes, this song is just as trippy as that paragraph.... As some of us know the San Pedro cactus can be used for medicinal purposes & psychedelic purposes. So we're going to go out on a limb here and assume Doprah are going for the psychedelic qualities of the San Pedro cactus (judging from the song). After Lorde tipped us off to Doprah a few months ago, we have been patiently waiting to hear their debut. As we find out with the release of "San Pedro", the Christchurch duo will be releasing their debut, Wasting, later this year. For now stream or download the track below.
