The Original Mix of Doja Cat's breakout single, "SO HIGH", featured some amazing R&B vocals and a half-electronic, half-acoustic composition that bridged the experimental and traditional music worlds in a near-perfect style. Since its release, it's racked up over a quarter of a million plays on SoundCloud, and its success is certainly well-deserved. With such a unique blend of influences existing on the original, it was definatley a risk to put out a remix, but Besken has taken it upon himself to change up the sound a bit, and the result is surprisingly good. He's managed to push the focus of the track more towards the electornic side of the spectrum, but there is still enough of the original to keep things from getting too off course. It's a great, mellow-paced effort from this up-and-coming producer from Santa Monica, Los Angeles, and will definitely help build some buzz for him and his craft.
