You must never forget your musical roots, for they are responsible for kick starting your love for music. Do Or Die were always a favorite growing up and always carried that niche sound that everyone loved. Everyone remembers the classic Po' Pimp with the frequently used Johnny P. It was the swooning voice of Johnny P that captivated us with his classic line "Do you wannnaaa ride in the back seat of a caddy, chop it up with do or die". As musical tastes grow over time you grow out of typical styles but it's always nice to come back to for a little reminiscing. Trunk Music Mixtape is full of new material from Do Or Die and features a surprise beat and verse from Kanye West. The production on "You Know" has that circa 2002 College Dropout feel to it. My guess is that this was recorded back then as well. This mixtape is being given away for free.
