Songwriter Solo Woods has been having quite the run of late. With a string of well-received singles under his belt and a successful tour in support of Leon Bridges recently wrapping up, the focus has shifted to what is next for the impressive act. Well, it is not what you might have expected, as he returns today with an entirely new musical project in DMNEJU, and a new single in “Used To Her”. DMNEJU is a collaborative project between Solo Woods and Jake Sherman, who is the bass player in his band as well as being an accomplished singer-songwriter in his own right. The two have been jamming partners for quite some time, and the rapport that they have with is definitely evident in their music. This debut single, punctuated with playful intro/outro banter, has an inherently buoyant tone that showcases both the soulful vocal range of Woods, and an exciting experimental composition as well. It is clear that these two artists are having a blast when it comes to recording material together, and we hope that translate into future releases from DMNEJU that are as appealing as this one here. In the mean time, we'll keep "Used To Her" on repeat below.
