Our emphasis on Parisian-based artists has been considerable, especially due to their continual appetite to explore untrodden sonic terrain. Discyr is an emerging Frenchman who seems to have a sturdy grasp on the vibes being emitted from Australian acts such as Wave Racer, Cosmo's Midnight, and Palace, but he also employs a distinct spice to give his work an innovative edge. Arthur (Discyr) has turned a few heads in the past, particularly due to a Nina Simone-sampled piece, and now with his finest effort to date in “Differences”(in which he positions copius amounts of sunlit chords, nu-disco-influenced drums, and those inevitable high-pitched vocal inclusions), he's a piece of elegant electronic art we'll be hoping to see more of soon.
