Dijon has an old-soul ache in his voice that makes almost everything he touches feel lived-in. "Talk Down" pulls from classic soul structure but the production is too restrained to feel nostalgic, it just feels honest. The guitar work here is subtle but it's doing a lot. One of the stronger cuts off "Absolutely."
