We first heard Bay Area songstress Devon Baldwin appear on one of G-Eazy's finest tracks, "Acting Up", back in 2011, and ever since, she's mostly been floating around the brim of the music scene. She's made several more appearances alongside the rapper, and though her name probably rings a bell to fans of his, she hasn't necessarily pushed her solo career too far into the spotlight just yet (she did gain some decent hype from a few recent singles, however). Presently, a different path is being taken advantage of by the artist, and she's now making it apparent that she's ready for her own slice of stardom with her three new releases. Devon's most recent appearance was on a song by another upcoming rapper, Skizzy Mars, and here he's decided to return the artistic favor by hopping on her first new track, "Knock You Down". On the effort, Baldwin's sweet, radio-ready vocals sound marvelous atop soothing production from Christoph Andersson, one of G-Eazy's go-to producers. "Already Gone" is another gorgeous pop offering that's a bit more hard-hitting than the prior one, but on her third new release, "Confession", Devon crafts a R&B-oriented work by coupling her high-pitched croon with silky production from JMSN. With these three tracks, Devon Baldwin has proven to be a very strong new contender in the pop music scene, so make sure you take advantage of the free downloads she's offering up here.
