Everything from the closeup babies depicted in their artwork to their spastic, scattered sound suggests that Los Angeles-based Dessert is perhaps one of the most bizarre trios out right now. We've covered their two previous singles, "Devil" and "Back Around", and now today, we get to listen to their newest piece, "Cookie". Of the many things unique to Dessert, the thing the band does best is switch between different moods. This is prevalent in this most recent track. It starts quite simply, groovy, and easygoing, but, as it progresses, it takes a complete turn. Followed by blissful harp melodies, auto-tuned vocals, and irregular drums, it suddenly conveys a more spacey vibe. Without a doubt, "Cookie" further portrays the ingenuity that these three have and continue to provide, and we're excited to find out where such inventive music will take us next. We know it'll be someplace cool.
