As a part of our overwhelming present-day society, it's perfectly normal to feel a bit uncertain and anxious about what's to come. However, we believe that with positivity, creativity, and love, one is able to possess enough power to triumph over any sort of negativity, and that's exactly why we promote these ideas through good music. It turns out that we're not the only ones around music who possess these ideals, because uprising Atlanta native Adam Alexander, who goes by the moniker "Demo Taped", embraces and exemplifies what we at HD stand for. For that reason, we are overjoyed to present his debut three-track EP, Heart. This incredible project is dedicated to—and exclusively meant for—a girl Adam refers to as "Her", but thanks to a little convincing from a friend, Adam has decided to free Heart to the world in hopes of spreading happiness, love, and soul to reveal the "universal groove within us all". Well, we think Adam definitely conveyed his goal in the fantastic first single, "I Luv U", which we posted just a few days ago, but now after listening to the two remaining songs, we understand that Demo Taped is one of the most unique and progressive new artists we've heard in a while. "Cozy", one of the two new songs on the EP, contains such meticulously brilliant production that we can't realistically describe each individual aspect, but we can assure you that this song's obscurely warm, synth-laden, upbeat feel is enough to put a smile on your face. Spectacularly, the good vibes carry on over to the other effort, "Your Touch", which is fueled itself by a groovy electric guitar riff, crisp percussion, and occasional massive bass hits. Furthermore, you should know that the smooth vocals you're hearing in each song are in fact Adam's own. (The kid's pretty impressive, is he not?) When we posted "I Luv U" two days ago, we immediately compared Demo Taped to the likes of Jai Paul, Ben Khan, and Oceaán, and while we're not about to go back on any of those, we are going to ask you to forget all about them for now, because after hearing the entirety of Heart, we can assure you that Demo's in his own world calling his own incredible artistic and emotional shots. So, open your mind, erase all expectations you've had up to this point, and allow Adam's music to do exactly what he wants it to: emulate the feeling of love. Purchase Heart on Bandcamp when it's released at 2:14 PM EST.
