We don't know a lot about new British electronic-pop artist Delaire, but we were able to grasp the quality of her music pretty instantly with debut single "Belief", a just-over-four-minute cut that'll leave you feeling weightless. There aren't a lot of risks being taken here with the track, admittedly, but that's perfectly fine for Delaire's introduction, as its simplicity seems to the reason it works so well. Lyrically, "Belief" suggests the relief one feels after surrendering and giving in to love, and one definitely hears that vulnerability and desire in Delaire's soaring vocal. Shimmering synths and light percussion help tell the story in this elegant and really quite stunning first output, and we certainly hope to hear more, similarly toned tracks from Delaire in the days ahead.
