Daye Jack probably hasn't popped up on your radar yet, so if this is your first encounter with the young rapper, then his latest track "Hello World" is going to be the perfect way to introduce you to who could possibly be the next big thing in hip-hop. The intro to the track is reminiscent of something that Chance the Rapper would put out, albeit a tad less abrasive in tone, but by about a minute in, the vocal chords undergo an uncannily smooth transition, and Day Jack settles into what will undoubtedly become his signature flow for years to come. Yes, there are a lot of good rappers out there, but the truly great ones know how to manage the pacing and tone not merely with the words they say, but with their inflection and how they're able to manipulate the silence between syllables. You can't teach this stuff, and it's this natural intuition that separates the great from the good. Fire up "Hello World" (and his other two tracks for that matter) and it's obvious that Daye Jack has got what it takes to get noticed.
