It's been nearly a year since we first wrote about Oakland-based artist Jackson Phillips (Day Wave), and it has been exciting to follow the growth of the musician every step of the way. Since the inception of his project late last year, Phillips has released a slew of successful singles such as "Total Zombie" and "Drag", all possessing the same natural charm that permeated through his debut Headcase EP, released in July. Following the EP launch, Phillips embarked on his first live tour, gracing the stages of a lucky few states across North America, and now, he now has another track to add to his set with “You Are Who You Are”. Imbued with the familiar sunny, lo-fi disposition we've come to associate with his tracks, this latest one sits well amongst the Day Wave repertoire. It will find its home as the B-side to the 7” vinyl single release of “Come Home Now”, which will be out November 6 via House Arrest Records.
