It doesn’t matter how much we want the winter season to end or how much we want the sun to be a more prominent part of our daily life. The weather will remain indifferent to our pleas and continue to be as it always does. The one variable you can control is your outlook on the whole situation, and here, we believe in listening to music for the season you want, not the season you currently have. To help with that, we have the latest sun-kissed effort from Oakland's Day Wave, as he releases his much anticipated Hard To Read EP. We, like many others in the online music community, have been closely following the career of Jackson Phillips (Day Wave), as he's released a prolific string of singles that have hit with deadly accuracy every time. Now, as you navigate through his sophomore EP, you will be greeted by the same sensibilities that we have come to love and expect from him, and, while having already introduced us to singles “Gone” and “Stuck”, we are pleased to say that the remainder of the release is populated with similarly lo-fi gems. Day Wave will be busy in the next few months as he embarks on his first world tour, and dates in Europe, Australia, and North America (including one special night in Vancouver [on April 30] that we are co-hosting with our partners, MRG) ensure that fans of his across the globe will get to experience his truly beautiful sounds.
