Though the general music-loving public might not be familiar with Dave B, hip-hop fanatics should definitely know his name by now. The Seattle-based wordsmith and vocalist has been pumping out material for several years now, and, today, he's releasing one of his best tracks with "Blue Faces". The production on "Blue Faces" is handled by a power team consisting of Sol-collaborators The Zillas (Nima Skeemz and Elan Wright), Soulection artist AbJo, and Dave's frequent producer, Mello P, and the group provided Dave with a mellow, groovy instrumental to perfectly suit his soulful, Anderson .Paak-sounding vocals (as well as a verse from new [but really exciting] Seattle rapper MO$). With "Blue Faces", it's clear the Seattle hip-hop scene is still flourishing, and we're hoping to hear more work of comparable quality from this team soon. For now. listen to the track below.
