Over a year ago, mysterious London-based artist DAUNT quietly released his exceptional debut single, "This Body Rushes", and, though it was met with widespread acclaim, he still sunk back into the shadows after letting that gem loose. Now, we've been awaiting his return for quite some time, but, at long last, he's finally breaking the silence with a brand-new track, "Love Slows Things Down", that's just as much of an enticing treat as his first. DAUNT manages to set himself apart here by crafting a sound that's terribly haunting, yet playful at the same time, and this nearly paradoxical effect is contributed to largely by what plunging synths and taunting vocals he has. We find this piece to be outstandingly enjoyable as a result of this, and we're surely hoping that it doesn't take DAUNT long this time around to follow it up.
