Dark Days In The Sun is a cross-continent duo that finds singer-songwriter Mio in Sydney, Australia, and producing counterpart SKAGGS in Los Angeles. The pair has never met (they have been working together for three years, however), and "Barricade" is their first-ever original track that's been released to the public. Based on its obvious quality, we'd suggest that they start thinking about this more long-term, too, because there's a serious potential had in their sound. Mio's vocals are the driving force behind their sound; they're powerful, vivacious, and they feature a ton of feeling behind them, but not to be outdone is the production from SKAGGS, whose modern-day, weaved-in electronic really merges together the two individual talents well. Their track has a really nice appeal as a result, and as fan of electronic-soul music, you can't really go wrong here at all.
