The Seattle hip-hop scene has given the world some great acts over the last handful of years (Macklemore, Blue Scholars, Sol, etc.), and we can imagine there are several more talented ones to come. Dave B is one artist from the area who may be in that fold, and even though he's been releasing music for a few years now, his new feature alongside fellow producer and city resident darìus on "The Light" will ensure that you've eyes and ears trained on him. On their track together, we find the perfect combination of two talented artists flexing their creative might in an ear-catching way. The beat—one produced by both individuals here—is a playful one, and though it's not something you'd expect to be rapped over, Dave B does his thing with a Chance The Rapper-meets-Childish Gambino-like flow. There's a colorful vibe felt here, and it's one that fans of those rappers are going to love.
