The Internet moves at a feverish pace, and sometimes things get forgotten, despite our best attempts to not fall into those pitfalls. With Dan Croll's debut album, it's not about to fall into any oblivious abyss, though, here, because although Sweet Disarray released right under our noses initially, there's no way we can let the album get away with not being talked about. We should all know by now the run of great singles that lead off the album, starting with the 2012-released, "From Nowhere", last winter's, "Compliment Your Soul", July's "In/Out", and finally, November's "Home". Each song provided a significant amount of buzz upon release, because every single track was great. It was as if the guy was never going to release an album, and frankly, he almost didn't need to; we were cool with him releasing a new song every few months, because he could get away with it. And, as it turns out, we fell asleep and completely forgot about the fact that all these tracks had a successor: his debut full-length, Sweet Disarray, that dropped in the UK on March 7th and in North America on March 10th. The unfortunate thing here is (if you're like us and you missed the album) considering what we may have missed with the rest of the songs. As it turns out, we had missed out on quite a bit, because as heard on some of our favourites below, there's much more to be had that what was trickled out beforehand. When you add "Thinking Aboutchu", "Wanna Know", and "Can You Hear Me" to the rest of the tracks you've already loved, you will have yourself one of the best albums of the year so far. The only concern now is, will the rest of the masses realize this? Thankfully you're reading this and don't have to be in the dark, so hit up iTunes and do the right thing (download it all).
