As we hit the very last stages of quite an overwhelming year in the sonic globe, we still manage to come across illustrious acts that crop up from nowhere, really, and Dalitt. is epitomizing the claim on his debut piece entitled “Fiend”. Other than the fact that Samuel Truth is providing assistance on the production side of the piece, all we know for now about the talent is that he's located someplace in India, and we’re assuming the vocals are the focal point of his sound, as they possess a complexion that’s far from recurrent and more than lucid in their entirety. From the very get-go of “Fiend”, bold flavors of R&B seep through exquisitely, and as they glide as an undertone throughout the piece, a flurry of forward-thinking breaks and elements dominate the veneer coating and give off unearthly, instantly absorbing vibes. From the narcotizing lyricism, to the head-nodding percolation of the vocals, there’s no doubt Dalitt. is etching a completely pristine strain of falsetto-led electronic here. The backdrop of the track is spectacular too, though, as Truth ascends in the highly competitive beatmaking scene by employing bass-hefty arpeggios, spacey chord progressions, and, most notably, the continual unfolding of the beat, as each drop instills a trap-infused atmosphere courtesy of igneous, volatile drumwork. Dalitt. is yet another vocal-led artist that we’ll keep a watchful eye on moving forward, and if we do continue to see futuristic beatmakers like Samuel Truth breathing life into his work, we’ll be expecting a lot more palliative sensations.
