We abuse a lot of adjectives when we talk about music, and that's because there's only so many ways to describe the ever-evolving sounds we're attempting to articulate. Too often, we resort to repetitiveness for the sake of relatability, and what ends up appearing on our posts is a watered-down sense of significance as it relates to the feelings evoked. There's no simple remedy for this; we can read more books, bookmark Thesaurus.com, or invent some shit to get our point(s) across, but sometimes, it's just not possible to specify. With Daktyl's newest track, "244", we see ourselves stuck in such a linguistic rut. It's almost haunting what he does to our writing; there's no overt theme to his work, and, as a result, we've got to chalk up his productions the realm of uniqueness, where they truly belong. It's difficult to find a better-fitting description for his sound, precisely because it's without rival, and though we've before seen the kind of electronic experimentation delineated in his production, we've never not been pleasantly surprised with the results. "244" is no exception, either, with it's bubbling background synths and exotic opening waves, and the second that percussion cuts in, you know you're in for something unmistakably authentic.
