Lets take it waaaay back to 1999 when Toronto's underground hip-hop scene buzzed with the likes of K-Os, Choclair, Saukrates, Thrust, Ghetto Concept and who we are featuring here — the production trio, Da Grassroots. You wouldn't find these dudes on blogs back then, you would of found them on Much Music's RAP CITY! Back then there was no widespread internet, all you had was Rap City and The Source (if you grew up in rural Canada). Passage Through Time is easily a certified Canadian underground classic. The album featured verses from K-OS, Saukrates, Choclair, Arcee, Schizm, Fatski, DJ S.O.S. + many more. If you want to purchase this album today, you may have to do a little search engine digging and have a deep wallet. The two tracks below were my favorites from the album.
