CRUISR

Kidnap Me

CRUISR is back, and this time they're coming out swinging with a revamped sound (and one less vowel [they used to be called "CRUISER"]). Their highlighted track here, "Kidnap Me", is the second release off their upcoming project, and if you're hearing music that sounds a bit familiar, it's not just you, because the track is actually a reissue of the same song which came out a while back. That being said, we were more than happy to give it a second post, because the production work has been polished to a mirror finish, and a lot of the finer details have been hammered out so that "Kidnap Me" in its reissued state is actually a major improvement over the original version. The same great melodies are still there, and the vocals are as solid as ever, but there's a host of little tweaks and twists that have taken this song to a completely new level of awesome. CRUISR is now releasing all their work through Vagrant Records, so the extra boost should help the band get the widespread exposure their music deserves, and we can't think of a group that is more deserving of the extra support. "Kidnap Me" is most likely just the first of many more great tracks to come from these guys, and if they play their cards right, the sky is the limit. The music they make is readily accessible to those who might be more casual listeners, but they've maintained a genuine style that hasn't lost its shine since their inception, and it's this commitment to sonic honesty that's going to ensure they don't turn into another one-hit-wonder. "Kidnap Me" will be released alongside the previously released "All Over" and "Don't Go Alone" on their upcoming iTunes single release on September 23rd, and if you pre-order it now, you will be given a download of "All Over".
