Cruiser's "Kidnap Me" is the first follow-up single to their debut EP Cruiser, and it's every bit the ray of sunshine we've come to expect from the band. With previous releases like "Moving to Neptune," and "Don't Go Alone" getting recognition as lighter-than-air indie pop tracks, it's a relief that the band has decided take what made the EP so fun to listen to, and build on that foundation. With "Kidnap Me," it's all about the relaxed pacing, and combining a care-free surfer music sound, with the rolling rhythms of a good blues guitar. It's a bit unconventional, but it works, and it works well. Cruiser is based out of Philadelphia, but the soul of their music seems like it would be much more at home on a sandy beach somewhere closer to the equator.
