Crooked Colours didn't have to enter a cheat code to fire up their buzz; rather, all they had to do was release tracks like "Come Down" and "In Your Bones" (from their debut EP), and the buzz created itself. Now about to embark on an Australia tour (with some dates already selling out), they've lent out their track to a fellow Aussie, the newcomer, cln, and apparently the guys is pretty good at what he does, because, not only has he already been featured on HD for "Better Than", but we're hearing from his peers that he's one of Australia's "most hyped kids" at the moment. Normally, we leave such statements as the aforementioned alone for the false buzz prophets to parade, but proving otherwise is this remix right here, as the young beatmaker tactfully infuses his sound into the original, carrying the initial atmosphere on his back. So much of getting people engaged in music takes some careful maneuvering with the arrangements, and what cln does to the original hooks you in from the instant it starts. With a deep, subdued, and droning bass pad, and the heavy drums that march alongside, you're going to find yourself glued to this remix, just like us.
