Count Counsellor — Head Lights

Count Counsellor

Head Lights

While many artists are currently struggling to stand out from their peers, Count Counsellor has really had no trouble at all when it comes to differentiating himself. The UK-based artist popped up last year when he released his highly promising first two tracks, and, over the past month, he dropped off two more excellent singles in "Cloud Calls" and "Disco Dodo". Today, he's accumulated all of his electronically oriented, ultra-creative musical prowess into one spectacular debut EP called & The Childhood Heroes. The project contains the two aforementioned singles alongside two new efforts, the first one being "Head Lights", a minimal, synth-carried piece that's darkly tinged and incredibly unique. Concluding the EP is "akidoutthere", a marathon of a song that can be upbeat and energetic at times, but also contains a dark undertone throughout. Overall, the project is a shining display of Count's versatility, talent, and ability to string a very distinct sonic thread through all of his work, and with this now in the bag, we'll be looking forward to whatever new projects he puts out. & The Childhood Heroes is officially being released on iTunes tomorrow, but for the time being, you can stream our favorites from it below.
