Among the many artists that debuted in 2018, COTIS stands out as one of the most promising. Throughout the year, the young talent from Victoria, BC shared four stellar singles, each weaving together hip-hop, R&B, and pop in an unconventional but accessible way, and, now he's capping off the project with two more solid tracks: "Blame", an energy-packed banger, and "Movie Scene", an introspective jam with a beat-switch midway through. (All previous singles are on the project.) Overall, WAIT! feels like the intro to a long story—a mini-narrative depicting COTIS' genuine, youthful hunger for success and everything that comes with it. His ambition, determination, and aspiration can be felt on it, and, though it was a long time coming, we're stoked WAIT! is now here.
