Coming off the back of his incredible "2 Heads", Coleman Hell releases "Take Me Up", and within its first few seconds, it becomes clear that Coleman has a wide variety of production styles with which to drape his dazzling voice upon. Dropping the ukulele and folk tones present in "2 Heads", Hell utilizes light synths and dainty piano playing here to accompany his own powerful vocals. Far too often, we witness an artist stick to a simple formula that guarantees mild success but doesn't bring anything new to the table. The same simply cannot be said for Coleman Hell, though. Over the past year, the Torontonian has dabbled in multiple genres, and with "Take Me Up", Hell shows what versatility of his makes him an innovative and exciting musician.
