Colby Lafayette doesn't waste a second on "BEST GUY," landing immediately in a hook-first indie-pop mode with enough personality to keep it interesting past the first listen. The production has a breezy confidence to it, bright guitars and snappy rhythm sections without feeling overworked. Short, direct, and effective.
