Callan Alexander (cln) is an upcoming producer from a country you can probably guess by now (Australia), and though he's a relatively small-sized following at the moment, he stands to gain several new fans with his latest single, "Better Than", that's taken from his forthcoming Sideways EP. The track's a strictly electronic agenda, employing the services of several beating synths, modulated vocal loops, and thick-sounding percussion to show what enticing atmosphere we can expect to see on the upcoming body of work. It's undeniably Flume-esque, "Better Than" is, and though its only the seventh entry in Alexander's catalog, it's a maturity to it that's rare to see in an 18-year-old still tinkering with his sonic identity. Needless to say, we're looking forward to Sideways, and after listening to "Better Than" below, we think you'll be as well.
