There are two obvious ways to view absences in an artist's creative catalog: with disdain, or with bated anticipation and appreciation. The latter option is, of course, the more responsible of the two, as it's almost always in the best interest of both the artist and the audience to let work run its creative course. There's no point in pushing out average material on a continual basis; we all want quality, and quality takes time. Cleindl, a producer we've seen occasionally on the site, knows this all too well (at least, the sentiment reflects in his craft), and we're always willing to wait a week (or month or two) to see what sound he's able to weave next into his electronic web. "Oh Babe" happens to be the latest work of the Tokyo-native's, and it's appeared out of nowhere like the lot of his last ones. Again, that's of no concern to us, though; we take what we can get from the producer, and we relish what involving soundscapes he consistently provides, like the one here on "Oh Babe". Within it, we're taken on a ride through the electronic galaxy, accompanied by synths galore and his preferred, twisted vocal samples, and though the effort lasts less than three minutes, we're completely absorbed within the time that is allotted. So thank you, Cleindl, for dropping off another extraterrestrial gem. We'll be waiting patiently for your next offering to arrive in that not-too-near and not-too-distant future.
