Cleindl's "Mornings" was one of my personal favorite instrumentals from the past year, and it's astonishing to me that I haven't been more impatient for another work of his to surface. I'm going to go ahead and replace the shock with the pleasant surprise of his first track of the new year, though, and revel within the sweet sounds it exudes. "Girl" starts with a slow synth build that sees some screwed vocal loops enter in quickly afterwards, and almost instantaneously, an ethereal atmosphere is instilled within the listening experience. There's a healthy amount of bass and hats grounding the effort in some bit of familiarity, but it's rare to see a track like this sound as crisp and clear as it does. Cleindl isn't trying to overpower the senses with this effort of his, but wake them up to an incredibly stimulating instrumental that fails on zero fronts.
