Clarens is one of the newest artists to emerge from Yuksek's own label, Partyfine, and contrary to what dance and funk-ridden electronic we've heard from the label thus far, the Senegal-born and Rennes, France, occupant has a more distinctly R&B sound. As the production from his Partyfine counterparts Yuksek and JS Le Gouic (Juveniles) shows here, too, the combination of his melodic voiced paired with the seductive downtempo production is one that's going to produce work everyone will appreciate.
