Enter The Chrome Forest

When it comes to making majestic electronic, no one does it better than Chrome Sparks. The Ann Arbor-native and present Brooklyn-resident has been scathing the genre's stratosphere for years now, showing his ethereal bent on each and every release, and we feel as though we've been through an intergalactic roller coaster with regard to his adventurous discography. It hasn't been all about adrenaline with his work, though; we were reminded of Jeremy Malvin's sheer sonic authenticity with "Goddess", the title track from his EP released earlier today, and now with the full body of work behind us, we see that it was no flash-in-the-pan single, but a prelude to what cool and capricious experimentation was to come. With Goddess, we're given more undefinable, but entirely enthralling, soundscapes. They're as high-reaching as expected, as intriguing as advertised, and as well-composed as could possibly be from a pioneer within the particular field of sound. It's relatively difficult picking out a favorite from the sextet of intrepid tracks, as we admire each and every one of the explorations Malvin sets out on upon them, but "Goddess", "The Meaning Of Love", and "Enter The Chrome Forest" emerged as the most absorbing, ultimately. We found ourselves engaged with the charsimatic synths embedded within, and because of the novelty of them, we were equally impressed on an engineering basis. So while Jeremy Malvin may not have reinvented his own wheel with the EP, he made sure strides in extending his exotic electronic enterprise. Purchase Goddess now on iTunes.
